White Coat Ceremony set for April 6

Smiling Asian man putting a white coat on a smiling white guy wearing glassesThe Class of 2013 will receive the white coats that symbolize students' entry into pharmacy practice at a ceremony on Friday, April 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Centennial Hall on the main UA campus.

All employees and students of the college are invited to join the recipients and their guests.

Jeannie Lee, assistant professor, will be the master of ceremonies. Ten student-selected faculty members will help students don their white coats.

Dennis Worthen will be the keynote speaker. Worthen is currently a Lloyd Scholar at the Lloyd Library and Museum, as well as an adjunct professor of history of pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. He retired from Procter and Gamble Health Care as director of pharmacy affairs in 1999.
