Clint Hinman, PharmD, MPH, director of pharmacy services at the University of Arizona Medical Center – South Campus and a preceptor for the college, has been chosen to serve as project director of the Epic information system implementation. Epic is the new single, electronic health record system being adopted by the University of Arizona Health Network. As project director, Hinman will lead the project team through the implementation process, ensure that the project is on the right path and serve as the central point of communication for the team. He began his new position March 13.
John Murphy, PharmD, associate dean, is co-editor of the Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Program, which will be released in its eighth edition by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy in January 2013. The home study program provides the pharmacotherapy specialist with the latest evidence-based information to improve and advance patient care.
Students
Matt Bertsch, Class of 2012, was the producer of a video that placed in the top 15 in the national 2011 APhA-ASP PharmFlix Video Contest. Approximately 42 videos were entered into the contest.
