Convo's coming up!

Friday, May 11 will be a memorable day for the 95 PharmD, one MS and three PhD students who will graduate that morning.

The UA College of Pharmacy Class of 2012 convocation ceremony will be held at Centennial Hall, 1020 E. University Blvd., on the UA campus. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.; the procession will start at 8 a.m.

The graduate students and professional PharmD students will be hooded by faculty; J. Lyle Bootman, senior vice president for health sciences and dean of the college, will bestow degrees.

Also honored at the convocation will be graduate students who have already received their degrees or will receive their degrees in the near future. Two MS students graduated in December 2011; one PhD student received her degree in December 2011, while three other students will receive their PhDs in August 2012.

A reception will follow the ceremony on the lawn opposite Centennial Hall.

Everyone is invited to attend to help the graduates celebrate this milestone event.
