Installation of Clutch Pilot Bearing
I did this as preventive maintainance when changing the clutch at 90K miles.
1.
Rented a clutch pilot bearing puller from Checker Auto. After much work I was able to get it to catch the bearing and it then easily pulled it out.
2.
Using a hammer I carefully tapped the new bearing (GM #1406-1685) into place. The part inside the red circle is the pilot bearing.
