Students to provide health screenings, information to state legislators

TOPIC:                   Pharmacy Day at the State Capitol

Student Pharmacists Academy members from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy and Midwestern University College of Pharmacy – Glendale, along with the Arizona Pharmacy Alliance, will provide informational booths on topics such as poison control and smoking cessation and health screenings for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma.

                               Phoenix, AZ 85007-2890
 

WHAT:                  An opportunity for legislators and staff at the Capitol to have health tests, visit
                              information booths and learn about the services pharmacists and pharmacies
                              provide to our community and discuss current issues relating to pharmacy
                              and health care. Lunch will be provided.
 

WHO:                   Pharmacy professionals and students will be available to meet with state
                              legislators and staff to provide health screenings and information.
