PGY1 Residency at University of Arizona Medical Center - South Campus

The Residency Program in Pharmacy is designed to train selected, highly motivated and qualified pharmacists in the provision of pharmaceutical care. The program consists of a 12-month period of concentrated training in all aspects of the institutional pharmacy practice. The program is flexible in that it will adapt to the needs of the individual resident, yet it will provide the basic foundation for quality pharmacy practice.
There are three major purposes of this residency program. These are:
- Prepare pharmacists for inpatient care of psychiatric and medical patients
- Prepare pharmacists for leadership and administrative roles within hospital facilities
- Prepare pharmacists for clinical staff pharmacist positions, adjunct faculty positions or PGY2 training
See the pages below for more information about the residency and how to apply.
