Within the College of Pharmacy, we offer world-class facilities and outstanding faculty in toxicology and toxicogenomics to qualified graduate students. Our program is supported in part by a Training Grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

HuGER
The Human Genes and The Environment Research training program features collaborations among three complementary inter-disciplinary pre-, and post-doctoral training programs:  

KEYS
The College of Pharmacy is a co-sponsor with BIO5 of the KEYS, Keep Engaging Youth in Science, program that offers summer research internships to high school students.

BIO5
The BIO5 Institute offers a variety of training opportunities for high school, college undergraduate and graduate students.

ALEC
The Arizona Laboratory for Emerging Contaminants is located at the University of Arizona to assist faculty, student and staff researchers working in the field of water sustainability to detect, quantify and speciate organic and inorganic micro-pollutants – including dissolved and nano-particulate components - in complex environmental matrices.

The laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and associated analytical techniques to study a variety of samples. Training is available on instruments in the lab.
