Transfer Guides

The Transfer Guide Chart will help you understand how undergraduate courses transfer from Arizona community colleges, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University to The University of Arizona. The chart shows the required prepharmacy course at UA and its equivalent at several other institutions of higher learning.

You may also want to review the online Course Equivalency Guide provided by the Arizona Course Applicability System (AZCAS).

For community college students

The course work described on the Transfer Guide Chart is recommended for students preparing to use community college classes for admission to the College of Pharmacy at The University of Arizona.

Admission into the UA PharmD program is very competitive and requires completion of the prepharmacy curriculum. Refer to the UA General Catalog or contact College of Pharmacy advisors (520-626-4311 or 520-626-0674) to obtain more information.

A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Consult your advisor regarding course selection.

For Pima Community College students

PCC STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE STU 210, "TRANSFER STRATEGIES." This course offers UA campus visits, meetings with UA staff members who represent Admissions, Financial Aid, The Center for Transfer Students and other UA resources, and consultation to evaluate transfer timing. The course transfers to UA as elective credit. See a PCC counselor/advisor about enrolling in STU 210.

If you have questions about courses from other universities, contact Pharmacy Admissions.
