To Apply (PharmD)
The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy requires all applicants to:
- Complete specific prepharmacy prerequisite coursework and provide official transcripts. Applicants must have a 3.0 science and non-science grade point average (GPA) for the 20 required courses to apply. (Thirty non-science and forty science units are required for admission.) Applicants also must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. The Admissions Committee accepts only B grades or higher for required organic chemistry and anatomy and physiology courses.
- Complete the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) no later than November of the application year.
- Have at least 50 hours of work or volunteer experience in a pharmacy setting by the application due date.
- Complete and submit a UA College of Pharmacy application (due December 1st; posted online for entry into the following year's entering class). Completing the online application and entry questions correctly is part of the admission process.
Applicants considered strong candidates for admission will be invited for a personal interview at the College of Pharmacy.
Once admitted to the College of Pharmacy, admission to the University of Arizona is through the Graduate School. For admission to the Graduate School, the student must have 72 units of college coursework completed by June 1 of the admission year.
