What the Admission Committee Considers
The college's admission committee evaluates the following about each applicant:
- Cumulative, science and non-science GPAs must be above a 3.0 to apply.
- All courses required for admission must be a grade of C or higher, except for organic chemistry and anatomy & physiology coursework, which must be a grade of B or higher.
- Three recommendations are to be submitted within the online application. Recommendations should be completed by individuals who are able to assess the applicant's ability to become caring, competent healthcare professionals (i.e.: professors, pharmacists, lab instructors, teaching assistants, supervisors, employers). Recommendations from relatives, family friends, etc., are not accepted. Letter service recommendations will not be accepted. A fourth recommender may be added to ensure receipt of three evaluation letters by the Dec. 15, 5 p.m. deadline.
- Work and/or volunteer experience in a pharmacy setting (at least 4-6 months or 50 hours) at the time of application.
- Oral and written communication skills
- Community service/involvement
- Extracurricular activities
- Personal questionnaire
- PCAT score
- Official transcripts from all colleges and/or universities attended. See application directions for details.
- Interview in Tucson, Arizona (by invitation). If the applicant is selected to participate in the interview process, the interview is mandatory at the applicant’s expense. Interview dates will be January through February and applicants will be notified by e-mail at least two weeks prior to the interview.
