The Admission Calendar
Candidates for the Doctor of Pharmacy program are admitted only in the fall semester of each year. (The University of Arizona fall semester begins in August; see Academic Calendars.)
The College of Pharmacy application for admission is posted online in September for entry to the following year's class. The online application deadline is 5 pm MST on December 1.
- Admission to the class entering Fall 2009: Applications for Fall 2009 will be available from this Web site in September 2008. There will be no paper application. The final application deadline is Dec. 1, 2008 at 5 p.m. MST.
- You are encouraged to submit your application WELL before the deadline. Recommenders cannot complete their online evaluations until you have submitted your application. This allows the candidate/recommender time to overcome any technical difficulties encountered.
Application review and interviews take place from January through February, with applicants receiving notice of their admission status in March. Admissions decisions are typically made by March 1.
Note to applicants:
Acceptance may be rescinded by the college should relevant post-application facts be discovered. Examples of such facts include, but are not limited to:
- An applicant’s failure to update relevant information such as disciplinary or legal actions subsequent to the notice of admission.
- New information suggestive of a character not befitting a College of Pharmacy student.
- Recanting of any recommendation previously provided by the recommender based on new or newly discovered information.
- Failure to amend a relevant disclosure such as a significant negative shift in the grade point average or any subsequent grade of a “D” or “F” prior to beginning the program, between admission and finalizing undergraduate prerequisites.
