I recently completed the PhD program in pharmacology and toxicology.
My research involved the exploration of mechanisms of hepatoprotection during bile-acid induced cholestasis with an emphasis on CAR-mediated effects.
I am currently working as a Research Toxicologist in the Drug Safety Evaluation department at Gilead where I am responsible for the design and conduct of pre-clinical studies in support of discovery and development projects. Part of my job entails leading protocol review discussions concerning scientific and procedural aspects of study design, as well as overseeing procedural and scientific aspects of studies throughout their duration. I prepare study protocols, amendments, and other documents as needed, including the preparation and review of regulatory documents, annual reports, INDs, Investigator Brochures and NDAs/MAAs. I also represent the department on multifunctional project teams involving anti-viral research.
