PhD (2000), Advisor: Bernard Futscher

I completed the PhD program in pharmacology and toxicology and my dissertation focused on Epigenetic Silencing of BRCA1 and Maspin in Sporadic Breast Cancer.

I currently work as an assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, Los Angeles.  My major research interest are epigenetic gene regulation, chromatin structure and function, hterochromatin formation and gene silencing and the role of histone modifications in normal development and disease, particularly cancer.
