If you are planning a pregnancy, are pregnant or are breastfeeding, the Arizona Teratology Information Program may answer your questions about
- Taking prescription or over-the-counter medications or vitamins
- Drinking alcohol or using drugs
- Vaccinations or immunizations
- Diseases or infections
- Chemical, pesticide or occupational exposures in the workplace or home
- Paternal exposures
ATIP actively participates in educating healthcare professionals, university students and the public about the effects of exposures during pregnancy.
ATIP works in collaboration with other services to study the effects of specific exposures and the outcomes of pregnancy.
Referrals to appropriate agencies can be made on an as-needed basis.
