When you call
When you call, you can expect:
- Communication will be confidential and voluntary.
- You will be asked about pregnancy or breastfeeding exposures to all medications, chemicals, illnesses or other exposures of concern.
- You will be asked to provide the dates during which the exposure(s) occurred and the dose or amount of the exposure.
- You may be asked about your health, the health of other family members and about any previous pregnancies.
- Current information about exposures and any special risks will be explained to you.
- The potential benefits and risks of exposures will be considered and discussed.
- In some cases, your permission may be requested to follow up on the outcome of your pregnancy for research purposes.
