Look here each week to see what is happening with our NCPA chapter at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy!

August 19 through the 23 look for our officers, as they will be around the college talking with the class of 2006 and hoping to gain some new members. Since the National Convention is rapidly approaching in Nashville, TN October 19-25 we want everyone to get the registration information they need to attend the National Convention. The convention registration is free for students, a $495 cost for Pharmacists, guests and technicians pay $275 for the same experience. That is right, there is no registration fee to attend if you are a member of NCPA! That means that you can apply for the dean's travel money award and use it to defray travel and hotel costs!

Remember that NIPCO will be offering training in both Osteoporosis Care and Diabetes Starting Friday Oct. 18 and finishing on Sunday Oct. 20. If you want to go and don't want to miss too much school, you could fly out Thurs. after classes and return by Mon. morning with your certification from NIPCO. However, you would miss the Monday Pfizer symposium with breakfast, Rudolph Giuliani's view of independent pharmacy, exhibit halls, educational workshops, networking bar, ideas to profit seminar, satellite dinner workshop, shuttle to down town Nashville in the evening. Tuesday Oct. 22 includes breakfast Educational Workshop series from Merck all day, exhibit hall open featuring colleagues in consultation and ending with Brooks and Dunn "NCPA after glow party". Wednesday Oct. 23 features the NCPA House of Delegates and the day ends by 10am.

It is a great experience I hope all members will attend!
