The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) was founded in 1898 as the National Association of Retail Druggists. It served to represent and support pharmacy owners, employees, managers, and the pharmacists that work in independent community pharmacies across the USA. The organization is dedicated to continuing the growth and prosperity of independent pharmacies as well as to providing pharmaceutical care to patients. Even if you are not interested in opening your own independent pharmacy someday, NCPA is a worthwhile organization to join. As students, we primarily serve the community by organizing programs like Katie's Kids, Open Airways and participating in the ostomy fair, as well as supporting local charities such as the Ronald McDonald House. It is a great way to get involved and be active in the community. Our activities are not only educational but also fun!
