College celebrates UA's 100th Homecoming

Skin disease drug finally wins approval

College of Pharmacy alumnus Bob Dorr has been a UA College of Medicine - Tucson faculty member since 1978 and now co-directs the therapeutic development program at the University of Arizona Cancer Center. A drug he has been developing for several years was recently approved in Europe for treating patients with a rare skin disease.

Thank you, 2014 donors!

Student pharmacists grabbed their phones the evening of Dec. 18 to make thank-you calls to alumni who have made donations to scholarships and other college programs this year. If you are one of our generous friends, we hope students reached you to share their appreciation of your philanthropy. If you have yet to give, there still are a few days to make a difference in this tax year. It's easy to donate.


COP alumnus part of military response to Ebola outbreak

Now an Air Force major, COP alumnus Zach Finney recently returned from a mission to Liberia to support the international response to the Ebola outbreak there. The 2008 PharmD graduate describes the dire situation he saw in the African country.

AHSC report available

A new publication, The Arizona Health Sciences Center 2014 Annual Report, highlights the depth and breadth of the scholarly activities and scientific discovery taking place across the University of Arizona’s health sciences colleges. The featured programs and stories are representative of the outstanding faculty and body of work here at the health sciences center.
