AdCats handles advertising
The university’s first student-run advertising agency, AdCats, offers marketing and public relations assistance to the university community. The students, who are in the Eller College of Management, charge approximately $45 per hour to design marketing campaigns, plan promotional events, provide media relations and more. They also charge from $25 to $100 per hour to develop promotional pieces and publications. For more information, contact Liz Tanori at (520) 861-7184.
Nominate now for faculty prizes
Faculty members and administrators are eligible to win one of three Henry and Phyllis Koffler Prizes of $10,000 each. The awards, which were established in 2000, recognize outstanding accomplishment in three areas: teaching, research or scholarship and public service or outreach. Each of the three winners will be asked to deliver a lecture or demonstration in a public venue. The nominations are due to the provost’s office Dec. 4. Donate to help hurricane victims
The COP chapter of APhA-IPSF is collecting goods and supplies to help victims of Hurricane Jimena in Sonora, Mexico. They have set up faculty, staff and student collection boxes in the Drachman Hall student lounge. The group that collects the most items will win a free breakfast. Needed supplies include gallons of water, dry foods, sleeping bags, tents, baby supplies and first aid kits. The contest will run until Oct. 30.
