Steven Dudley, PharmD ’15, (pictured, top) has been named Interim Director for the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center. Dr. Dudley is also a Director for the recently launched Opioid Assistance and Referral Line (OAR Line). He previously completed a Clinical Toxicology Fellowship with the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center in 2017.
Dr. Dudley replaces longtime director Keith Boesen, PharmD, (pictured, bottom) who accepted a position at Rare Disease Therapeutics as its Medical Science Liaison. Dr. Boesen began working with the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center as an intern in and worked his way up as a Specialist in Poison Information (2002) to a Certified Poison Information Specialist (2004) to finally director in 2009.
Though Rare Disease Therapeutics is headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, Dr. Boesen will remain in Tucson.
“It’s been amazing to launch my career at the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, and to have worked here for over 18 years,” Dr. Boesen said. “The Center is a real asset to our community and the state, providing confidential and immediate resources to the public and health care providers about chemicals, medications and venomous creatures. I look forward to watching the opportunities the Center will pursue with new leadership.”
