ISPOR 2018 Annual Meeting

The UA COP contingent presented 19 scientific posters and talks, with several awarded for “Top 10%."
The student chapter and student attendees shined, winning several awards.

Baltimore, MD - The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy (UA COP) students, faculty, and fellows joined thousands of their colleagues last week at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) 2018 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. The UA COP contingent presented 19 scientific posters and talks, with several awarded for “Top 10%." In addition, the UA ISPOR Student Chapter received the “Outstanding Student Chapter Award – 3rd Place”, and Rhys Axon also received the “ISPOR Distinguished Service Award” for his work as Chapter President. Amid all of the cutting-edge science and health care policy discussion, everyone also had fun participating in two ISPOR Annual Meeting traditions. One was the “Student Research Competition” where four Wildcats bravely represented the UA COP in a friendly “quiz show” competition against teams from dozens of other universities. The second was the UA HOPE Center’s Reception to give UA COP community a chance to catch-up and network.
