The laboratories of Dr. Terrence P. Monks and Dr. Serrine S. Lau
focus on the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which chemicals
induce tissue- and cell-type selective toxicity.
Several projects are ongoing:

- The role of metabolism in ecstasy-induced
neurotoxicity
- Mechanisms of
ROS-induced nephrocarcinogenicity
- Identification and significance
of protein adducts
- Prostaglandin-mediated
cytoprotection
