Health Outcomes & PharmacoEconomic Research
The Center for Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomic Research assesses health care interventions from a clinical, economic and humanistic view. Established in 1986 by J. Lyle Bootman, PhD, the center collaborates with researchers, academic institutions, health care organizations and pharmaceutical firms worldwide. Research focuses include cost-effectiveness analysis, quality-of-life assessment, pharmaceutical policy analysis, drug-use evaluation and more.
The mission of the Center for Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomic Research is to conduct quality research, disseminate information and provide training and service programs to enhance the application of economic and effectiveness measures to the practice of health care and the management of health systems.
The vision of the Center for Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomic Research is to become a premier source of information, training, and collaborative research in assessing the effectiveness of health care interventions.

Arizona Center for Education and Research on Therapeutics
The Arizona Center for Education and Research on Therapeutics (AzCERT) is one of 14 national centers funded by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to conduct research and offer educational programs that will advance the optimal us of drugs, medical devices and biological products. The AzCERT is a collaboration between C-Path institute and The University of Arizona. The drug-drug interaction core is housed in the Center for Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomic Research. Daniel Malone heads up an interdisciplinary team that includes members for the colleges of pharmacy, nursing and public health.
