The Experiential Education Team
As class size grows, ACPE accreditation standards expand, and the College considers expanding to an additional campus in Phoenix, the experiential team has expanded to meet the increasing needs of the program.
Kevin P. Boesen, PharmD (520) 626-3981
Director, Experiential Education
Kevin became experiential director in 2004. Since that time, the College of Pharmacy class sizes have almost doubled and ACPE has drastically changed accreditation standards. He is happy to have much needed help.
Rebecca Malone, PharmD (520) 626-4506
Coordinator, Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE)
Dr. Malone joined the team in July of 2006. She has been a great addition to the team. Her main functions are to prepare the third students for their advanced rotations and create the fourth year rotation schedules.
Rebekah Jackowski, PharmD (520) 626-4506
Coordinator, Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE)
Dr. Jackowski joined the experiential team in 2008. She has assumed the enormous task developing our IPPE program. That is, she is trying to find rotation assignments for 100 first years, 100 second years, and 100 third years. Call her if you can help!
Jenene Spencer, PharmD (520) 626-4506
Clinical Pharmacist, Experiential Education
Dr. Spencer is the newest member of the experiential team having just started in the Fall of 2009. However, she has precepting a number of students over the years while with Fry's Pharmacy. Jenene will be the College's rotating preceptor. She will work with students at a number of practice settings including nursing homes, hospitals, and community pharmacies.
Administrative Assistant, Experiential Education
Lynda is the backbone of the program. She has been part of experiential education since 1999. Those of you know Lynda, know that if you need anything, she is the best resource. Her main function is to ensure that program runs smoothly. No small task. The amount of paperwork involved from registering students, organizing immunization records, submitting hours to the state board, and processing new preceptor paperwork is monumental. Yet, Lynda does it all with a smile.
