Wildcat Charter School & TUSD Children's Health Fair

Approximately 200 students from Wildcat Charter School and Tucson Unified School District, including some students from Yuma, Arizona, will visit the College of Pharmacy to learn about a variety of health topics. One component of this visit is a health fair held in the Walkway of Wellness.

PediaCATS will host a variety of different booths to inform the students about healthy lifestyle choices. These booths will include information on sun safety, importance of healthy eating, physical activity, getting adequate sleep and how this affects your body, germs and the immune system, and what a pharmacist does.

AzPA will hold a booth called AwareRX to discuss the abuse of prescription medications among youth. The Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center will hold a booth to inform students about potential safety concerns in the environment and at home.
