Dr. Richard Carmona, the 17th Surgeon General of the United States, will be the keynote speaker for this afternoon forum about the quality, cost and availability of health care in the United States. J. Lyle Bootman, senior vice president for health sciences at the University of Arizona, will respond to the keynote address.

Panel discussions led by area experts will take place in nearby Roy P. Drachman Hall. Facilitators include Deborah Vincent, associate professor of the UA College of Nursing; Neil McKinnon, director of the UA Center for Rural Health; and Robert Smoldt, former chief academic officer of the Mayo Clinic.
