Rose Martin, PharmD, is a clinical assistant professor and the director of the University of Arizona Medication Management Center (MMC). As director, Dr. Martin oversees clinical operations that support more than six million patients nationwide and manages a staff of more than 100 employees. Dr. Martin originally joined the MMC in 2007 as a medication management specialist. Since 2007, Dr. Martin has delivered direct patient care to thousands of patients with multiple chronic conditions, served as operations lead and developed the center’s quality assurance and training processes and procedures.
Dr. Martin graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor of science in biochemistry in 2003, and completed her PharmD degree in 2007 from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy.
In addition to her role as the MMC director, Dr. Martin precepts both Introductory Pharmacy Experience and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience students as well as leading pharmacotherapy discussion courses.
In her spare time, Martin owns and operates, along with her husband, a karate school recognized by the International Olympic Committee. She has trained and developed students who represent the U.S. on the Junior National Karate Team as well as representing the U.S. herself in the sport. When she’s not working at the MMC or training future Olympic athletes, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and be a mom to her two children.
