Dr. Nicole Scovis is a graduate of the University of Florida. She completed her residency at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida, in ambulatory care and subsequently obtained board certification as both a pharmacotherapy specialist and an ambulatory care pharmacist.
From the beginning of her career, Dr. Scovis was actively engaged at the forefront of healthcare reform through medication therapy management (MTM) services at the Medication Management Center at the University of Arizona, where she was instrumental in developing the clinical programs that this center boasts today. She continues to support clinical program development.
Dr. Scovis serves as the residency program director for the PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency at the Medication Management Center. Dr. Scovis spearheads efforts to integrate pharmacogenomics into the care of patients with cardiovascular, neurological and psychiatric conditions to better personalize their care. Her passion is improving patient outcomes through optimization of medication therapy.
