Liz Mellor is executive associate the dean of the College of Pharmacy.
Mellor was appointed assistant to the dean in 2007. She came to the college in 1992, working for two years with the clinical research unit. Following that position, Mellor joined the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science, assisting the department head, faculty and pharmacy students for three years. She later was promoted to the Dean’s Office and assisted the assistant dean for assessment and evaluation and the director of development and professional affairs for eight years. She was appointed coordinator of alumni affairs, special projects and events in 2005.
During her tenure at the college, she has married, had two children, attended many career workshops and meetings, served on the college’s Staff Advisory Council as vice president (FY98-00) and as president (FY01-03) and served on many university, college and Arizona Health Sciences committees that benefit our community and support professional development for staff.
Mellor was one of the links in creating the Arizona Health Sciences Staff Advisory Council (est. ’03) representing all staff in the health sciences campus. She has orchestrated and/or assisted in many alumni, student, faculty, staff and National Advisory Board-related events and meetings and has assisted in the last two ACPE pharmacy accreditation processes.
