We will have Dr. Martha Fankhauser, MS Pharm, FASHP, BCPP, as our guest speaker! Dr. Fankhauser specializes in neuropsychiatric pharmacy practice and was a faculty member from 1982 to 2010 in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. Dr. Fankhauser has served as a pharmacotherapy specialist for Arizona Smokers’ Helpline at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and is actively involved in promoting psychiatric pharmacy practice through the Arizona Pharmacy Association and the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists. Since 2010, she has had a private consulting practice and provides guidance and recommendations for individuals who want an assessment of their medications, over-the-counter products, and complementary medicine treatments (www.martiefankhauser.com). Her interests are in preventative health/wellness interventions, polypharmacy and drug interactions, substance use disorders, tobacco cessation, and nutritional deficiencies.
