As part of the effort to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS in the month of November, IPSF has invited Dr. Kelly Mathews, PharmD, CSP, to speak. Dr. Mathews is the director of clinical services at Avella Specialty Pharmacy in Scottsdale, Arizona. She oversees specialty disease management programs, including HIV/AIDS amongst other diseases. Dr. Mathews will share her experiences in the management of HIV/AIDS by discussing barriers to patient care, treatment pearls, the roles of a specialty pharmacists in preventing HIV/AIDS transmission, personal experiences, and more.
