This conference in Scottsdale, Arizona will offer continuing education credits in toxicology to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, emergency medical service personnel and others.
“Pick Your Poison: Current Trends in Toxicology” will be held April 10 and 11 by the Center for Toxicology and Pharmacology Education and Research in collaboration with Banner Health. CTPER is a partnership of the Arizona poison centers and the UA College of Medicine-Phoenix.
Topics for the conference, set for the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center, will include novel drugs of abuse, new oral anticoagulants, dangerous pediatric ingestions and envenomations. Mazda Shirazi, medical director of the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, and Robert French, also of the poison center, will be among the several toxicologists to lead a session.
