The Interprofessional Clinical Skills Competition consists of students from the colleges of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health working in teams of four to answer clinically based questions on patient care. IPCSC allows future health professionals to cooperate and foster teambuilding skills to provide optimal answers to health issues, patient and population care, and increasing positive health outcomes. This competition, completely run on a volunteer basis, allows for the growth of interprofessionalism amongst future healthcare providers, which is critical for providing proficient health care in the community. Another purpose of this competition is to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
During this competition there will be a silent auction (including a signed basketball by the UA Men's Basketball Team and Coach Miller!) and a donation-based bake sale. All proceeds from this event will go to the American Cancer Society. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to test their own health sciences skills for a chance to win a prize! Come out and support our current health sciences students, the American Cancer Society, and the fostering of interprofessionalism!
