College tapped for AACP Weaver Award

The College of Pharmacy has been selected as the recipient of the 2016 Lawrence C. Weaver Transformative Community Service Award from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, which recognizes significant institutional commitment to addressing unmet community needs through education, practice and research.

Students, alumni land residency programs

Thirty-seven graduating UA COP students matched with PGY1 residency programs and postgraduate fellowships, and 10 alumni will enter PGY2 residency programs. COP students had an overall acceptance rate above the national average. Hanna Phan (left) founded the Residency-Fellowship Preparation Program at COP.

A trio of COP events - the Coit Seminar, the Phi Lambda Sigma Spring Leadership Conference and the White Coat Ceremony - are coming up April 7 and 8.

Alumna, student appointed to ASHP bodies

Two PharmCats (including Andrew Garcia, left) have recently been appointed to posts with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
