It's Homecoming time, which means it's time for you to return to your alma mater!  Join us as we celebrate 60 years of excellence at The University of Arizona.  We will be celebrating Class Reunions for the classes of ’52, ’57, ’62, ’67, ’72, ’77, ’82, ’87, ’92, ’97 and our honorary induction class, Class of 1950.

“How Will Pharmacogenetics Affect Cancer Therapy

and the Practice of Pharmacy?”

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

This program has been developed for pharmacy professionals from all practice settings. At the end of the program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the contribution of old vs. new medications extending the cure of cancer and other diseases.
  • Identify cancer medications that should be dosed based on genetics.
  • List genotype/phenotype relationships with applicability to cancer and other diseases.

 

Location: College of Pharmacy-Pulido Center, Rm. B111; (Cost:  $15 per person, no charge for affiliated faculty.) Refunds will not be available for cancellations. (Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as sign language interpreter, by contacting the Office of Continuing Education, 520-626-3020, or continuinged@pharmacy.arizona.edu.  Requests should be made as early as possible to allow time to arrange the accommodation.)

The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy is approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education.  This program has been approved for 1 contact hour. ACPE Program Number 003-000-07-028-L01-P. Statements of credit will be distributed after the program to pre-registered pharmacists attending the entire session.

(Participants attending CE will have plenty of time to attend the Jacob Reception)

A Homecoming tradition since 1929; includes floats, bands, spirit groups and Homecoming Royalty.  Come root for the College of Pharmacy student float.

Tailgate party on the UA Mall

(No charges, RSVPs are requested for food count.)

Join your friends from the College of Pharmacy for a pre-game celebration.

Food and drinks will be served after the parade. 

This year there will be no alcohol served in any of the UA Mall tailgate tents.

There will be designated booths for alcohol service for your convenience.
